True Love-A Short Story

This is what True Love is all about:

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 a.m., when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him look at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer' s Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?" He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is." I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there are some that come along that have an important message, and this is one of those kind. Just had to share it with you all.

Moles and what they say about you

The Chinese Almanac, also known as the Tung Shu, is commonly known as a book of auspicious and inauspicious dates, but there is so much more to the Tung Shu than that. It is a vast mine of information relating to astrology, codes and symbols, derived by the wise sages and philosophers of ancient China. In this issue, we bring to you the secrets from the almanac regarding moles on your face and what they mean depending on which part of your face they appear.
First, check your face for any moles, and then look at the diagram above to identify the number(s) that are a closest match to the moles on your face. Usually, the moles only hold meaning for you if they are prominent and they are the only one. If your face if full of spots, acne or "little" moles, they do not count. When you've ascertained which position corresponds to the mole on your face, look up the meanings listed by numbers below.

Position 1 to 3
As a child, you are somewhat rebellious and a free spirit. You have an innate creativity and work best when you are given a free hand. Generally, your superiors like your avante garde approach to life. If you have a mole here, you are far better off in business and being your own boss rather than working for somebody. What is promising is that you have the luck to be your own boss.

Position 4
You are an impulsive person, often acting with a flamboyance that gives you charisma and a sparkling personality, but you can be difficult when there are too many opinions. You tend to be rather argumentative, but never to the point of holding grudges. This mole tends to give you an explosive temper and should you decide to remove it, you will find yourself becoming calmer and more at peace with the world.

Position 5
A mole above the eyebrow indicates that there is wealth luck in your life, but you will need to earn it and work harder than most people. All the income you make must be carefully kept as there are people who are jealous of you who might attempt to sweet talk you into parting with your wealth. Be wary of those who try to interest you in get-rich-quick schemes. If you have a mole here, it is advisable not to be too trusting of others. Follow your instincts and be cautious. And never allow other people to control your finances.

Position 6
A mole here indicates intelligence, creativity and skill as an artist. Your artistic talent can bring you wealth, fame and success. It also indicates wealth luck, but this can only be fully realized if you follow your heart rather than stick to conventional means of making a living. Success will come if you are brave.

Position 7
Moles under the eyebrows indicate arguments within the extended family that cause you grief and unhappiness. This will affect your work and livelihood. It is advisable to settle any differences you have with your relatives if you want peace of mind to move ahead.

Position 8
This is not a very good position for a mole. Your financial position will constantly be under strain because of a tendency to overspend. You also have a penchant for gambling. The only thing is you must know when to stop. Meanwhile, someone with a mole here has a tendency to flirt with members of the opposite sex as well as with the same sex. Better be a little discerning where you exert your charms, or you might get into trouble.

Position 9
This mole position suggests sexual and other problems. It is an unfortunate mole and you are well advised to get rid of it. It brings a litany of woes and a parade of problems.

Position 10
A mole here just under the nose indicates excellent descendants luck. You are surrounded by family at all times and will have many children and grandchildren. You have the support of those close to you and will be both materially and emotionally fulfilled.

Position 11
Moles here suggest a tendency to succumb to illness. It is a good idea to have this mole removed especially if it is a large, dark-coloured mole. Otherwise use lots of foundation to cover it.

Position 12
A mole here foretells a successful but also a very balanced life. You are likely to be not just rich, but famous as well. But although you have every opportunity to live the high life, you will have a satisfying home and family life as well. Women with moles here are particularly lucky and tend to be beautiful and glamourous as well.

Position 13
Your children will be a big worry in your life. Your relationship with them is not good. There is nothing much you can do about this except to learn some tolerance.

Position 14
A mole here suggests a vulnerability to food which can be a big problem in your life. You may have allergies against certain foods or you may simply be eating too much.

Position 15
You are a person always on the move and constantly renovating and redesigning your house. You like to be introduced to new things and see new places. You are not happy if you remain in one place for long. You enjoy travel and adventure, and have a very observant eye.

Position 16
You need to be careful when it comes to eating, and also when it comes to your sex life. These are your two biggest problems. You tend to have weight issues which can make you depressed. You enjoy romance, sometimes with more than one person, but because you are a person with some morality, you will feel guilty about it and this will cause you much stress.

Position 17
You will be someone of great social prominence. You are active on the social scene and an excellent conversationalist. There is a tendency to become bigheaded about your success, which could lose you your good name. This will affect you deeply because you draw your confidence and self worth from what others think of you.

Position 18
You are a person always on the move. There is a great deal of overseas travel in your life, but you should take extra care each time you cross the great waters, as your mole prefers you to stay at home.

Position 19
You have money luck and many good friends, so this is a good mole to have. Your weakness is that you tend to succumb to the charms of the opposite sex. In your life, it is this that could get you into hot water, so do cool your ardour!

Position 20
A mole here can be very lucky or very unlucky. If you have a mole here, you are destined either for extreme fame or infamy. You have great flair for creativity and are also highly intelligent, but your talents can be used for both good and bad. You are not a person to be trifled with for you are no pushover and do not forgive and forget easily. This mole is a mark of someone who will go down in history either as a great or as a tyrant.

Position 21
This is a good mole, as it suggests plenty to eat and drink throughout your life. This mole also brings fame and recognition.

Position 22
Your life is always happy and things go smoothly for you. You could well become a sports superstar if you have the passion for it. Moles at the end of eyebrows also suggest a person of authority and power, so if you are the CEO of a company, you will do very well.

Position 23
You have a high IQ, and you are both brain smart and street smart. You have a highly-developed survival instinct and will lead a meaningful and long life. You will be active until a very old age and will have friends and family around you till the very end.

Position 24
You will achieve fame and fortune in your young age and you are advised to use this period to safeguard your old age, as people with moles here tend to have a harderlife as they get older.

Position 25
You will enjoy good prosperity and recognition luck, but do be careful of excesses. Stay traditional in your attitudes and you will have a long and fruitful life.

Youtube All Time Favorites

Anyone who has been on the Internet more than a few minutes in their life has probably seen 60 percent of these videos before, but for those who haven’t, those that missed them, or those that just want another good laugh, here they are again.

1. This video, The Evolution of Dance, dito e the guy dance all popular steps from the 80`s to the 90`s dance music, has won 13 YouTube awards (including No. 1 most -viewed of all time and No. 1 most-viewed comedy of all time). YouTube views: 45,536,393

2. Simply called “Guitar”, video is clickable in the left side of my blog, this video posted by user guitar90 has over 17,694,795 views on YouTube and is the No. 1 most-discussed video on the site. Although this piece is composed by Jerry C-a taiwanese composer-this re play if i`m not mistaken by Funtwo-a korean-is more popular than the original..see na lang my links.

3. Another famous video, err… music video, is by a group called OK Go – Here It Goes Again. Most famous for the interesting “treadmill walk,” this video has 14,691,814 views and is the No. 8 most-viewed movie.

4. Our next video is slightly rarer. The “Real Life Simpsons Intro” has 12,777,364 views and is the No. 3 most -viewed comedy video.

5. Another wildly popular clip is mysteriously called “Hahaha” but features one of the funniest laughing babies that I have ever seen, with 12,454,826 views it ranks as the 12th most-viewed video of all time and the fourth most-viewed comedy video. Quite an achievement for someone who can’t even walk…

6. A slightly less popular video (with a mere 5,603,942 views), our next video is something of a work-in-progress. Its author “Nate” took a picture of himself every day from Jan. 11, 2000 to July 31, 2006--- a whopping 2,356 days of pictures. What a feat! It ranks as the second most-viewed movie in the Film and Animation category.

7. Urban Ninja is an extremely popular video of a young man doing what can only be described as “ninja-like” moves: climbing buildings, flipping over cars, high rise walking… it's simply amazing. With 12,367,833 views, it ranks as the No. 13 most-viewed.

8. The next video is a lowly 64th on the most-viewed list, but it was pretty amazing so I had to share it. Called “9 months of gestation in 20 seconds” it details the growth of a pregnant woman’s belly as her child develops. While slightly less popular than our other videos (with only 4,259,277 views) it certainly warrants a mention for creativity and awesomeness.

9. Our ninth pick is an animated short that was actually written for a Masters Thesis Animation and is simply called “Kiwi!" With 7,720,812 views and a No. 1 rank as the most-viewed movie in Film and Animation it certainly ranks among the top YouTube videos of all time.

10. My No. 10 pick was perhaps the most amazing YouTube video that I have ever seen. Called “Where the Hell is Matt” it details the journey of a young man around the world. His “dance tour” of the world takes him from New York to Sydney and back through Africa and Antarctica. Simply amazing… it makes me want to take that kind of trip. An absolute MUST watch! (6,178,015 views and counting)

Well, that’s it for me. Hope you enjoyed this rundown of my top 10 YouTube videos. I am continually amazed at all the new content out there for people to enjoy, and in this new technology age, it’s only going to grow. So get out there and make some movies, start a blog, tell the world your story.

$75,000 Offered For MD to Publicly Drink Vaccine Additives

$75,000 VACCINE OFFER

THE FOLLOWING OFFER is made to U.S.-licensed medical doctors who routinely administer childhood vaccinations and to pharmaceutical company CEOs worldwide:

Jock Doubleday, director of the California 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation Natural Woman, Natural Man, Inc., hereby offers $75,000.00 to the first medical doctor or pharmaceutical company CEO who publicly drinks a mixture of standard vaccine additives ingredients in the same amount as a six-year-old child is recommended to receive under the year-2005 guidelines of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (In the event that thimerosal has recently been removed from a particular vaccine, the thimerosal-containing version of that vaccine will be used.)

The mixture will not contain viruses or bacteria dead or alive, but will contain standard vaccine additive ingredients in their usual forms and proportions. The mixture will include, but will not be limited to, the following ingredients: thimerosal (a mercury derivative), ethylene glycol (antifreeze), phenol (a disinfectant dye), benzethonium chloride (a disinfectant), formaldehyde (a preservative and disinfectant), and aluminum.

The mixture will be prepared by Jock Doubleday, three medical professionals that he names, and three medical professionals that the participant names.

The mixture will be body weight calibrated.

Because the participant is either a professional caregiver who routinely administers childhood vaccinations, or a pharmaceutical company CEO whose business is, in part, the sale of childhood vaccines, it is understood by all parties that the participant considers all vaccine additive ingredients to be safe and that the participant considers any mixture containing these ingredients to be safe.

The participant agrees, and any and all agents and associates of the participant agree, to indemnify and hold harmless in perpetuity any and all persons, organizations, and/or entities associated with the event for any harm caused, or alleged to be caused, directly or indirectly, to the participant or indirectly to the participant's heirs, relations, employers, employees, colleagues, associates, or other persons, organizations, or entities claiming association with, or representation of, the participant, by the participant's participation in the event.

The event will be held within six months of the participant's written agreement to the above and further elaborated terms.

The new offer had no takers.

Therefore .

White Rabbit from China-BEWARE!

Distributors of best-known Chinese-made creamy candy, White Rabbit, together with three other brands named as Milk Candy, Bairong Grape Biscuits and Yong Kang Foods Grape Biscuit was ordered by Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) for pullout.

They were given 15 to 30 days to pull out their products from the market after BFAD tests discovered that the four products contained formaldehyde or formalin which is known for embalming or preserving dead bodies.

China’s products these days were gaining bad credibility for exporting fake and dangerous goods.

Chinese officials admitted that their nation is having a serious problem with food hygiene and safety standards but they blame the foreign media for spreading exaggerated reports regarding the issue.

HUMAN BODY WONDERS

Whether you are suffering from illness, discomfort, lack of breath under water or you simply need to awaken your senses this great list will be for you. It’s truly astonishing the healing powers of our bodies, and we’ll let you into a secret . . . most of the time your body can heal itself without needing some over-priced, ineffective quick fix drug or medicine.

This article really is enlightening, I’d give a medal to anyone who knew all these tricks already. Whatever your need is, there’s something for everyone.

My personal favorite is how to deal with first-date jitters or meeting in-laws, check out number 12.

18 Tricks to Teach Your Body

By: Kate Dailey

1. If your throat tickles, scratch your ear!

When you were 9, playing your armpit was a cool trick. Now, as an adult, you can still appreciate a good body-based feat, but you’re more discriminating. Take that tickle in your throat; it’s not worth gagging over. Here’s a better way to scratch your itch: “When the nerves in the ear are stimulated, it creates a reflex in the throat that can cause a muscle spasm,” says Scott Schaffer, M.D., president of an ear, nose, and throat specialty center in Gibbsboro, New Jersey. “This spasm relieves the tickle.”

2. Experience supersonic hearing!

If you’re stuck chatting up a mumbler at a cocktail party, lean in with your right ear. It’s better than your left at following the rapid rhythms of speech, according to researchers at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. If, on the other hand, you’re trying to identify that song playing softly in the elevator, turn your left ear toward the sound. The left ear is better at picking up music tones.

3. Overcome your most primal urge!

Need to pee? No bathroom nearby? Fantasize about Jessica Simpson. Thinking about sex preoccupies your brain, so you won’t feel as much discomfort, says Larry Lipshultz, M.D., chief of male reproductive medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. For best results, try Simpson’s “These Boots Are Made for Walking” video.

4. Feel no pain!

German researchers have discovered that coughing during an injection can lessen the pain of the needle stick. According to Taras Usichenko, author of a study on the phenomenon, the trick causes a sudden, temporary rise in pressure in the chest and spinal canal, inhibiting the pain-conducting structures of the spinal cord.

5. Clear your stuffed nose!

Forget Sudafed. An easier, quicker, and cheaper way to relieve sinus pressure is by alternately thrusting your tongue against the roof of your mouth, then pressing between your eyebrows with one finger. This causes the vomer bone, which runs through the nasal passages to the mouth, to rock back and forth, says Lisa DeStefano, D.O., an assistant professor at the Michigan State University college of osteopathic medicine. The motion loosens congestion; after 20 seconds, you’ll feel your sinuses start to drain.

6. Fight fire without water!

Worried those wings will repeat on you tonight? “Sleep on your left side,” says Anthony A. Starpoli, M.D., a New York City gastroenterologist and assistant professor of medicine at New York Medical College. Studies have shown that patients who sleep on their left sides are less likely to suffer from acid reflux. The esophagus and stomach connect at an angle. When you sleep on your right, the stomach is higher than the esophagus, allowing food and stomach acid to slide up your throat. When you’re on your left, the stomach is lower than the esophagus, so gravity’s in your favor.

7. Cure your toothache without opening your mouth!

Just rub ice on the back of your hand, on the V-shaped webbed area between your thumb and index finger. A Canadian study found that this technique reduces toothache pain by as much as 50 percent compared with using no ice. The nerve pathways at the base of that V stimulate an area of the brain that blocks pain signals from the face and hands.

8. Make burns disappear!

When you accidentally singe your finger on the stove, clean the skin and apply light pressure with the finger pads of your unmarred hand. Ice will relieve your pain more quickly, Dr. DeStefano says, but since the natural method brings the burned skin back to a normal temperature, the skin is less likely to blister.

9. Stop the world from spinning!

One too many drinks left you dizzy? Put your hand on something stable. The part of your ear responsible for balance — the cupola — floats in a fluid of the same density as blood. “As alcohol dilutes blood in the cupola, the cupola becomes less dense and rises,” says Dr. Schaffer. This confuses your brain. The tactile input from a stable object gives the brain a second opinion, and you feel more in balance. Because the nerves in the hand are so sensitive, this works better than the conventional foot-on-the-floor wisdom.

10. Unstitch your side!

If you’re like most people, when you run, you exhale as your right foot hits the ground. This puts downward pressure on your liver (which lives on your right side), which then tugs at the diaphragm and creates a side stitch, according to The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Men. The fix: Exhale as your left foot strikes the ground.

11. Stanch blood with a single finger!

Pinching your nose and leaning back is a great way to stop a nosebleed — if you don’t mind choking on your own O positive. A more civil approach: Put some cotton on your upper gums — just behind that small dent below your nose — and press against it, hard. “Most bleeds come from the front of the septum, the cartilage wall that divides the nose,” says Peter Desmarais, M.D., an ear, nose, and throat specialist at Entabeni Hospital, in Durban, South Africa. “Pressing here helps stop them.”

12. Make your heart stand still!

Trying to quell first-date jitters? Blow on your thumb. The vagus nerve, which governs heart rate, can be controlled through breathing, says Ben Abo, an emergency medical- services specialist at the University of Pittsburgh. It’ll get your heart rate back to normal.

13. Thaw your brain!

Too much Chipwich too fast will freeze the brains of lesser men. As for you, press your tongue flat against the roof of your mouth, covering as much as you can. “Since the nerves in the roof of your mouth get extremely cold, your body thinks your brain is freezing, too,” says Abo. “In compensating, it overheats, causing an ice-cream headache.” The more pressure you apply to the roof of your mouth, the faster your headache will subside.

14. Prevent near-sightedness!

Poor distance vision is rarely caused by genetics, says Anne Barber, O.D., an optometrist in Tacoma, Washington. “It’s usually caused by near-point stress.” In other words, staring at your computer screen for too long. So flex your way to 20/20 vision. Every few hours during the day, close your eyes, tense your body, take a deep breath, and, after a few seconds, release your breath and muscles at the same time. Tightening and releasing muscles such as the biceps and glutes can trick involuntary muscles — like the eyes — into relaxing as well.

15. Wake the dead!

If your hand falls asleep while you’re driving or sitting in an odd position, rock your head from side to side. It’ll painlessly banish your pins and needles in less than a minute, says Dr. DeStefano. A tingly hand or arm is often the result of compression in the bundle of nerves in your neck; loosening your neck muscles releases the pressure. Compressed nerves lower in the body govern the feet, so don’t let your sleeping dogs lie. Stand up and walk around.

16. Impress your friends!

Next time you’re at a party, try this trick: Have a person hold one arm straight out to the side, palm down, and instruct him to maintain this position. Then place two fingers on his wrist and push down. He’ll resist. Now have him put one foot on a surface that’s a half inch higher (a few magazines) and repeat. This time his arm will cave like the French. By misaligning his hips, you’ve offset his spine, says Rachel Cosgrove, C.S.C.S., co-owner of Results Fitness, in Santa Clarita, California. Your brain senses that the spine is vulnerable, so it shuts down the body’s ability to resist.

17. Breathe underwater!

If you’re dying to retrieve that quarter from the bottom of the pool, take several short breaths first — essentially, hyperventilate. When you’re underwater, it’s not a lack of oxygen that makes you desperate for a breath; it’s the buildup of carbon dioxide, which makes your blood acidic, which signals your brain that somethin’ ain’t right. “When you hyperventilate, the influx of oxygen lowers blood acidity,” says Jonathan Armbruster, Ph.D., an associate professor of biology at Auburn University. “This tricks your brain into thinking it has more oxygen.” It’ll buy you up to 10 seconds.

18. Read minds!

Your own! “If you’re giving a speech the next day, review it before falling asleep,” says Candi Heimgartner, an instructor of biological sciences at the University of Idaho. Since most memory consolidation happens during sleep, anything you read right before bed is more likely to be encoded as long-term memory.

LARGEST PEARL IN THE WORLD

800 Year Old (Largest) Pearl on the World's Market To be Sold

I know I was saying that it gets tiresome just wading through story after story about how this is the biggest and that is the largest and it's all set for Dubai, but this is truly eye-catching.

According to this, the 800-year-old pearl will be auctioned off and from what has been reported, the previous owner's list reads like a who's who and includes Chinese emperors, Persian kings, the grandson of Genghis Khan, and the famous Venetian adventurer Marco Polo.

It is not the biggest, that honour goes to the 9.45-inch Pearl of Allah, which is the world's largest. It was found by a diver off the Philippine island of Palawan in 1934 and is stored in a museum in that country.

If you want to bid, it's expected to fetch $8 million. The pearl measures 79 millimeters by 41 millimeters by 34 millimeters. It is the owner's wish that the pearl be renamed Abu Dhabi Pearl but the final decision will lie with whoever buys it

Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Model 787 is Boeing's newest aircraft type. It is a mid-size widebody aircraft for medium to long ranges, intended as the successor of the Boeing 767 and to compete with the Airbus A330 and the future Airbus A350.

In March 2001 Boeing presented the Sonic Cruiser, a very futuristic looking widebody airliner with canard-wings, a delta wing, rear-mounted engines and two horizontal fins. The Sonic Cruiser was intended to fly at speeds close to Mach 1, 15 to 20 per cent faster than current jetliners do. The Sonic Cruiser offered accommodation to 200 to 250 passengers and could fly 6,000 to 9,000 nm at an altitude of around 45,000 ft. Boeing had worked on the design since 1999.

After the first sensation Boeing and the airlines soon became less enthusiastic. There were uncertainties about the cost of the new technologies involved and about the relatively high fuel burn of flying at high speed compared to what a new conventional airliner would need. After the terrorist assaults of September 11 2001 most airlines were in a bad financial shape. In December 2002 Boeing shelved the concept and focused its attention towards a conventional-looking 250-seater, the 7E7. The E stood for 'Efficient' and Boeing's intention was to build a very fuel-efficient, silent and clean aircraft, with maximum use of new technology. The aircraft would become a replacement for the 767. Early 2005 the 7E7 was redesignated Boeing 787 and named 'Dreamliner'.

50 per cent composites

The Boeing 787 is an all-new airplane and Boeing has incorporated lots of new technology in the design. The Rolls-Royce and General Electric turbofans will be much more fuel efficient than the engines on earlier widebody aircraft. About 50 per cent of the primary structure, including the fuselage and wing, will be made of composite materials, like carbon fibre reinforced plastics. This makes it possible to manufacture one-piece fuselage sections, which eliminate 1,500 aluminum sheets and 40,000 - 50,000 fasteners. For comparison: the Boeing 777 incorporates 12 per cent composites in the primary structure.

The first one-piece composite 787 nose section - Image: Boeing

Another feature are 'health-monitoring systems', that will monitor the technical condition of the airplane and report maintenance information to computer systems on the ground. This must help to reduce maintenance costs 30 per cent compared to current airliners. Passengers will enjoy larger windows in the 787 than usual on today's airliners.

Three versions

Boeing initially wants to build the Dreamliner in three versions. The 787-8 will carry 210 to 250 passengers over 14,800 to 15,700 km (8,000 to 8,500 nm), while the 787-9 will carry 250 to 290 passengers on routes of 15,900 to 16,300 km (8,600 to 8,800 nm). A third variant is the 787-3 with accommodation for 290 to 330 passengers and optimized for shorter flights of 5,550 to 6,500 km (3,000 to 3,500 nm).

Parts of the Boeing 787 are constructed by suppliers at sites far from Seattle. To fly large parts of the aircraft to the final assembly line, including fuselage sections and wings, Boeing developed a special version of the Boeing 747, the 747-400LCF (Large Cargo Freighter), also named 'Dreamlifter'.

The 787 has a very good sales start. Boeing received more orders for the type than for any of its earlier airliners in an early state of the programme. At the moment of the planned roll-out (on 07-08-2007) the orderbook comprises orders for more than 600 aircraft. Among the first buyers of the Dreamliner are: All Nippon Airways, Air New Zealand, Blue Panorama (Italy), First Choice Airlines (UK), Japan Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Air Canada, Korean Air, a combination of Chinese airlines and Continental Airlines.

From Dust To Man: Scientific Proof..

They alleged that the creation of Adam is an ‘anti-scientific nonsense’, and God did not create Adam from a handful of dust, like the Bible says. To my readers, see how these blatant liars are ‘wrestling’ the words of the Bible. Their allegation and their pre-conceived idea are not written in the Bible. Nowhere in the Bible can you find a verse that Adam was created by God from a handful of dust. What is written is recorded in Genesis 2:7, which says:

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

While it is true that God created man from the dust of the ground, the phrase “handful of dust” is absent in the verse! It is conceived it the minds of these perverts. Be that as it may, the information in the Bible is scientific! Granting, without accepting, that there is such a thing as a ‘handful of dust’, whose hands will be the measuring hands for the dust that God will use in the formation of Adam? People who cremate the dead have an idea of how much dust will be left of the human body after cremation. I am sure it is not a sack of dust; but very close to a handful — depending on the hands that holds them. And why is it scientific? God made man from the dust; and when his body dies it decomposes and turns again to dust.

(Genesis 3:19) “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

human_body.jpg

What are the scientific proof that man’s body came from the dust of the ground, as the Bible says? The human body is made up of materials and minerals found on the surface of the ground, and not from the core of the earth. Oxygen, being the most abundant element on the earth’s crust or on the ground, makes up 65 percent of the human body, and carbon, also abundant on the top soil of the ground, is 18 percent, and hydrogen is 10 percent. The 59 elements found in the human body are all found on the earths crust. This is amazing because what the Bible says perfectly match the scientific composition of a human body.

mineral_graph.jpg

The ignorance of these ‘imaginary people’ in what the Bible says betrays their alleged intelligence and knowledge in science. Of course, the human body is not made up only of dust, but God mixed the dust to water to produce clay.

(Job 10:9) “Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?”

(Romans 9:20-21) “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?”

The mixture is clay, understandably contains more water than dust. Who says that the information in the Bible is scientifically nonsense? They are the one’s that are nonsensical, and not the Bible!

The exact proportion of the minerals and materials, if maintained, make up a healthy human body (http://www.emory.edu/EMORY_REPORT/erarchive/1998/September/erseptember.21/9_21_98Size.html). Excesses in these materials will cause disorders and diseases. Excess of aluminum, for example, and iron, will be toxic for the human body. The proportions of the abundance of the 59 elements on the earths crust, is amazingly represented in its presence in the human body. Who says that the Bible is not scientific? These ‘imaginary and anti-scientific people’!

List of richest Pinoys-excluded in Forbes List

It’s not exactly the fault of Forbes magazine if it excluded several wealthy Filipinos from its list of the Philippines’ 40 richest in its Dec. 25 issue. Henry Sy of the SM group topped the magazine’s list with an estimated net worth of $4 billion while Manuel Pangilinan, or MVP, chief executive of Hong Kong-based First Pacific Co. Ltd., ranked 40th with a net worth of $25 million, or maybe more.

Financial information about the country’s wealthiest are difficult to obtain, especially if their companies are not listed on the stock exchange. Creditor banks may hold critical information on the assets and liabilities of known wealthy Filipinos but they are the last to disclose such details because of the bank secrecy law.

Many of the rich Filipinos who did not land on Forbes’ list, however, are widely recognized in their respective industries. Very few will argue that they could have easily made it to the list.

Take sugar baron Jose Mari Chan, for example, whose family runs a large sugar empire in Negros Oriental and Iloilo provinces in the Visayas. Mr. Chan, who is also a noted song composer, inherited the business empire from his father, Antonio, who immigrated to the Philippines from China when he was 14 years old.

The Chans, who are among the country’s biggest sugar traders, own Central Azucarera de San Antonio (Casa), which operates a sugar mill in Iloilo and a refinery in Negros Occidental. Casa is investing P1.2 billion in a biomass co-generation plant capable of generating 14 megawatts of electricity and is putting up a state-of-the-art P1.6-billion sugar refinery in Negros Occidental. The Chans also own Hyatt Regency Hotel.

True-blooded entrepreneurs

Bookstore magnate Alfredo Ramos, one of the successful entrepreneurs in the Philippines, is qualified to join Forbes’ list. He is chairman and president of Atlas Mining and his family owns National Bookstore, the biggest bookstore chain in the Philippines. Mr. Ramos owned the defunct Daily Globe broadsheet.

Ambassador to Laos Antonio “Tony” Cabangon Chua’s worth is certainly more than P2 billion. Cabangon-Chua, founder and chairman emeritus of the Fortune Group of Companies and publisher of Philippine Graphic magazine, owns the fledgling Business Mirror and operates popular hotel and motel chains in the country.

Antonio “Tonyboy” Cojuangco will also easily qualify to the Forbes’ list. Tonyboy reinvested his “windfall” in Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. and Piltel after acquiring medium-sized Bank of Commerce and Associated Broadcasting Co., which operates ABC-5. Tonyboy also owns Dream Cable and has joined the call center business.

Corazon Ong, another successful entrepreneur, steadily built CDO Foodsphere to become the second-biggest meat processing company in the country after San Miguel’s Purefoods.

Former Trade and Industry Minister Roberto “Bobby” Ongpin could probably be among the 10 wealthiest Filipinos in the Philippines today. Bobby earns lucrative fees and commissions as an investment banker. He was one of the senior advisers of Asian billionaire Robert Kuok, who owns the Shangri-La hotel chain. Ongpin, whose family partly owns SGV auditing company, is now heavily investing in the local IT sector with investments in Eastern Telecoms, ISM Communications and Philweb.

Wealthiest Pinays

The Forbes issue named four Filipinas in its list. They are Betty Ang (net worth: $115 million), Vivian Que Azcona ($80 million), Lourdes Montinola ($50 million) and Marixi Prieto ($30 million).

Ms. Ang is president of Monde Nissin, maker of instant noodles, biscuits and snack food while Ms. Azcona’s Que family owns the Mercury Drug chain, the country’s largest with over 500 outlets.

Ms. Montinola’s father, Nicanor Reyes, founded Far Eastern University in 1928. She served as sixth president and is the largest shareholder of the school.

Ms. Prieto’s family, meanwhile, is majority owner of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, which claims to be the biggest broadsheet in the Philippines.

There is something God Cannot Do

There is something that God cannot do

any religious groups believe that God can do everything and anything because He is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. But, do you know that there is something, which God cannot do?

It is true that all the things that we see around us are all creations of God. We cannot deny the fact that even the smallest viruses, bacteria, and microbes . . . even the animals, both big and small . . . even the plants and the trees . . . including human beings ... are all creations of God. Even the vast galaxies, which are made up of billions of stars ... and the planets, whose sizes are almost hundred times bigger than the sun, were all made by God.

Do you know that about a billion galaxies had been found in the universe? Included here is the Milky Way galaxy, wherein our solar system is a part of. It is in the solar system that the Sun and the nine planets are found. The earth, which is one of these planets, is considered by astronomers as the “Wonder of the Universe.”

If we are going to think about it, we will realize how marvelous and how vast is the space that God created. Scientists call it as an “ever expanding universe” because each time that they look at it, through the aid of powerful telescopes, it appeared to be wider and more expanse than before. Especially, when the Hubble Space telescope had been released in the orbit in 1990. It was able to capture farther galaxies, which were never seen in the past.

But, the most wonderful creation of God is MAN. Our being had been designed a lot different and much better that any other creation of God. Like our eyes, for instance, do you know that our eyes are considered as the best telescope? For this reason, inventors of modern telescopes had used our eyes as models, or patterns. However, they have not completely succeeded in coming up with a telescope that is exactly similar with our eyes.

Another amazing feature of man is his brains. Do you know that our brain weighs only about 2% of our body’s total weight? Bur despite that, our brain has the capacity to store billions of knowledge and information? Much, much more than the biggest computers made by man can do. Every second, millions of messages enter our brain via the different senses. And the brain readily reacts to these stimuli through its 100 billion nerve cells called neurons.

These were all made by a very powerful God. Yet, there is one particular thing than man does very frequently, which cannot be done by God. This is contradictory to the popular belief of many religious groups that, there is nothing impossible with God. There is one thing, which is impossible for God to do. This is written in Hebrew 6:18—

“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie . . .”

It clearly states that, it was impossible for God to lie. Telling a lie is something, which is impossible for God to do. This is also stated in Titus 1:2—

“In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie, promised before the world began.”

It is impossible for God to lie; He cannot lie. Let us not believe those who say that nothing is impossible with God. That is a deceit meant to mislead you.

Most Liveable City in the World

20 Geneva - Germany
19 Paris - France
18 Hamburg - Germany
17 Singapore - Singapore
16 Auckland - New Zealand
15 Vancouver - Canada
14 Kyoto - Japan
13 Barcelona - Spain
12 Montreal - Canada
11 Melbourne - Australia

And the Top 10 are.....

#10 MADRID. Culturally, Madrid was long regarded as stuffy compared to hip Barcelona. But it has undergone a renaissance. It now attracts more international theatre, dance and music, and will be the seat of the new Royal Spanish Ballet.

#9 HONOLULU. The sport may live and breathe here on the southeastern coast of the island of Oahu, but Honolulu is no longer a far-flung destination for surfers and vacationers. Bridging the oceanic gap between California and Asia, Honolulu now fits the definition of a global city - a palm- fringed metropolis with a population as diverse as its flora.

#8 STOCKHOLM. There is something special about the cool, ordered, mature beauty of Stockholm. And beauty, for sure, is one of Stockholm's trump cards: the beauty of its people, of its buildings, of its waters and parks. But there are other reasons for Stockholmers to be proud of their city.

#7 SYDNEY. The perpetual blue sky, the harbour, the stunning beaches, the bushland humming with wildlife... Sydney's natural beauty is relentless. The city bewitches its citizens, who react by prancing to the beach with a cappuccino or lounging in a café with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc in hand. Sydney is showing off. Again.

#6 HELSINKI. Today, Helsinki is a western city. Over the past decade the European fashion chains have arrived, while smart bars have replaced the old beer cafés. However, the city retains a distinctly Finnish quality. The fashion, music, film and art scenes are blooming, and the Nordic welfare model guarantees a high quality of life for virtually everyone.

#5 VIENNA. Mittel-European grandeur meets modernity in the new Vienna. The Austrian capital, famous for its rich cultural heritage, also has a progressive eco- friendly municipal government. Smart white and red trams cover 30 routes, and the metro is punctual, smooth and clean.

#4 TOKYO. Integrated transport, breathtaking technology, great service and the best bars make this our top big city. The real Tokyo for the most part confounds expectations. Visitors are rarely prepared for the other side of the city, so unlike its raucous alter ego: the quietness of the subway, the peaceful residential streets, the old-fashionedness of the place.

#3 ZURICH. In Zürich, small and perfectly formed has turned out to be both a blessing and a curse. Those who have never been there imagine this Swiss finance capital to be inhabited by grey men wearing ill-fitting suits, shuttling the world's money around while living off fondue. Perhaps this was the case 20 years ago, but today it couldn't be further from the truth.

#2 COPENHAGEN. A new wave of Danish architects, designers and chefs, plus some joined-up thinking by city officials, has seen Copenhagen reborn to the extent that locals now refer to it as the gateway to mainland Europe

#1 MUNICH. After much tire-kicking, data-sifting and deliberation, Munich emerged as Monocle magazine's most liveable city in the world. A winning combination of investment in infrastructure, high-quality housing, low crime, liberal politics, strong media and general feeling of Gemütlichkeit make it a city that should inspire others.
